Share Capital

– Minimum of 250 shares. Each share is worth Kes.20
– A requirement of law, all members MUST buy shares.
– Earns dividends.
– Sacco board may review the minimum from time to time.

Shofco Savings & Deposits Features/Facilities

Individual Savings

Requirements

– Minimum of Ksh 1000 for community members and Ksh 2000 for Salaried members per month.
– Must be consistent per month to qualify for a loan/facility.
– Qualifies a member for a loan/facility 3 times the deposits.
– Security for loans/facilities
– Earns profit at the end of the financial year.
– Refundable upon withdrawal/exit from the SACCO

Group Savings

Requirements

– Minimum of Ksh 2000 per month.
– Must be consistent per month to qualify for a loan/facility.
– Qualifies a member for a loan/facility 3 times the deposits.
– Security for loans/facilities
– Earns profit at the end of the financial year
– Refundable upon withdrawal/exit from the SACCO.
